I am a senior software developer with a VFX generalist background currently based in the UK and working at DNEG.

My skill-set is primarily focused around Pipeline Development & Team leadership.

My current role is spearheading pipeline and artist tooling for DNEG primarily focused on Pixar’s USD and Side Effects Houdini.

I have excellent working experience with most major software packages, have developed pipeline for small facilities, spearheaded tool development at the largest facilities, and deeply understand the core aspects of CG as it relates to film and animation. I have worked with facilities of all shapes and sizes, and realise the importance of the right tools to get the job done.

I have excellent skills in communication, and understand the importance of bridging the gap between artists and production to create an efficient collaborative environment. I understand the importance of a project running on schedule and on budget.

I have experience running and managing small development teams in a Agile development environment, managing product backlogs, and prioritising work. I also have experience working directly with stakeholders to creating meaningful and focused development decisions. Coming from a production background, I know the importance of being flexible in goals, and have experience magazine teams in an ever-shifting development environment.

I have experience running dailies, working directly with show supervisors and directors, and delivering to tight production deadlines. I believe myself to be invaluable at the head of a team environment, and have a proven track record to motivate and inspire team members through working examples.

I have a strong artistic eye, and am able to work at the highest standard required by major studios. I deeply understand colour theory and composition.
